Fras-le presents its new brake pad line and packaging for commercial vehicles at HDAW
Fras-le, one of the largest manufacturers of friction materials in the world, with more than 60 years of experience and present in over 100 countries, will be displaying its products - a benchmark of technological innovation - at the HDAW 2017 (Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week), from January 23 to 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. For this edition, two new initiatives will strengthen not only the global positioning of the company, but also its growth projection in the demanding North American market and the consolidation of its business with longtime customers.
These initiatives consist of the new brake pad line and packaging for commercial vehicles. Fras-le highlights its special formulation for premium brake pads called HD PRO, which is recognized as a premium OE quality material and has an excellent braking efficiency. It was developed and designed for heavy duty, coach, transit, refuse applications, and other vehicles that work in high-temperature conditions within the brake system. The product receives a layer of friction coating, applied on the friction face to improve the initial performance of the material. Another key feature is the V-groove design to promote exceptional noise and wear characteristics. This groove provides better stress relief and prevents clogging of the channel by the worn material itself, while renewing the friction surface.
The CV ADVANCED and the ECO PLUS, altogether with the HD PRO, make the line of Fras-le brake pads for commercial vehicles complete. The CV ADVANCED, designed for trucks, trailers, transit, and coach industries, is a highly cost efficient material with long lasting and proven wear performance, with excellent fade recovery. The ECO PLUS, suitable for trucks and trailers, is recommended for those seeking the best cost/benefit ratio; all while being an Eco-friendly N-Type Material (copper free). The three lines are ECE R90 certified, have a premium MRS (Mechanical retention system), and all brake pads sets are packaged with a complete hardware kit.
Also related to the packaging, all three lines now use a new shape and layout with a more practical closure system. Included in the printing on the backside of the package, is the key features, benefits and applications of the brake pads. Also, all sets are shrink wrapped to provide a more durable long lasting package.
Fras-le will also exhibit its entire product line such as brake linings and pads for heavy vehicles, clutch facings, shoes for subway and railway applications, brake shoes for light vehicles, universal flat sheets, molded and woven linings. Developed under strict evaluation tests, the high quality of these products is already recognized by the automotive, commercial, and industrial market.
In addition to its industrial plant located in Alabama, a Sales and Engineering office in Michigan, the company is present in other markets through its industrial plants in Brazil, and China; warehouses in Germany and Argentina, and commercial offices in Chile, Mexico, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. The company`s team is dedicated to logistics and sales in foreign markets in various locations across the world. Fras-le focuses its activities on OEMs and on the Aftermarket.
HDAW is considered one of the most important trade shows for the automotive industry in North America, being a showcase of products, innovations and solutions for the segment. In 2016, the event had a record-breaking conference of 2,517 attendees.
