Thinking about future generations

Fras-le drives its actions to be an environmental friendly company, socially just and economically viable.

Fras-le is the first friction material manufacturer in South America to obtain the certification in the standard ISO 14001, known as Environmental ISO.

At Brazilian Fras-le, we restlessly seek a basic principle: the good economic performance must, necessarily, come with clear attitudes in favor of the environment. To minimize and to prevent environmental impacts resulting from the use of natural resources and from the waste generation are Fras-le Environmental Management System (SGA) goals and aims, which exists since 1998 and obtained the certification in the standard ISO 14001.

One of the Fras-le projects to the environment is a effluent treatment station, where millions of liters of water are annually treated, 25% of which are re-used by the company. The residue resulting from this system goes through the composting process ( treatment of organic waste). About ten tons of waste are generated every month, and they are used as fertilizer.

Sustainability Report

Using the integrity criteria applied by Randon Companies, Fras-le periodically develops its Sustainability Report to show its actions and its results, in hope that this promotion encourages other companies and enterprises to follow such steps.
