The company is among the biggest manufacturers of friction materials in the world and will be participating at one of the sector’s leading trade fairs on the African continent, in Johannesburg, on June 19 and 20.

With products and services that reach over 125 countries and on route to international expansion, Fras-le has confirmed its presence at one of the largest trade fairs geared towards the railway market. On June 19 and 20, in partnership with the client GEAR, the company will show its technology in railway brake shoes and pads at Africa Rail, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Organizers expect the event to draw some 6,500 professionals from the railway market over the two days, and the participation of more than 100 market leaders in the supply of technology for the sector. Currently, Fras-le already serves to the continent through its EMEA operation, covering Europe, Middle East and Africa, from its base in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, along with representative offices spread strategically throughout the region.

“Africa, as a whole, is already a well-established market for Fras-le products geared towards commercial vehicle applications. We want to reach the same position in the region’s railway sector, consolidating the company as the leading supplier of railway brake shoes for cargo and passenger trains on the continent. Being at Africa Rail together with our partner GEAR leverages the promotion of our brand and products amongst the leading customers in the sector”, stated the general manager of EMEA Operations for Fras-le, Mr. André Incerti.
